Take deposits and balances online from your own website by Visa or Mastercard, charged in meticais. Mobile money can be added later as an option. We confirm how payments settle for your property, and the fees, in writing before your first payment.

Connected finance

Hoyo will read certified invoices, receipts, payments and till sessions from your ERP, so the manager can see the money next to the bookings. Your certified system stays the fiscal system of record. Quoted with your setup.

Setup is free. We mean it.

Standard onboarding is included free of charge on a 12-month agreement: website setup on an approved template, basic data import and initial training. Should you cancel within the first 3 months, an onboarding recovery fee of 15,000 MZN applies. Custom work beyond the standard setup is quoted separately.

Questions

The things lodges ask us.

Is it in Portuguese?

The guest side is: digital check-in runs in English and Portuguese, and we train your desk in either language. The back office screens are in English today.

What happens when the internet drops?

Hoyo is a web system, so it needs a connection to take a new booking. The daily sheet prints every arrival, departure and room for the day, so reception can keep running on paper and key the day in when the line comes back.

Can it handle immigration and tourism tax?

Hoyo organises the guest information you capture and prepares immigration returns and municipal tourism tax in print-ready formats. You stay in control of what you submit.

Does it connect to the OTAs?

Not yet. Hoyo is built to connect to the main OTAs through Channex, a channel manager already certified with them. Our own certification with Channex is in progress, and we tell you in writing when your channels can go live.

Is Hoyo a certified invoicing system?

No. In Mozambique, invoices and receipts must come from a system licensed by the Autoridade Tributária. Hoyo will connect to yours and read the invoices, receipts, payments and till sessions, so you can see the money next to the bookings. Your certified system stays the system of record.

How do guests pay?

At the desk, the way they pay you today, recorded on the booking. Online, through MozPay, built into Hoyo: at launch that is Visa or Mastercard, charged in meticais, switched on property by property. We confirm how payments settle for your property, and the fees, in writing before your first online payment.

Is my data safe?

Access is controlled by staff permission levels and sensitive actions are written to an audit log. Ask us how and where your data is hosted and backed up, and we will put the detail in writing before you sign.

What happens if I stop paying?

You keep access to export your data. We'll never hold your records hostage.

Hoyo helps organise and prepare the information you need into print-ready formats. It does not replace your legal or accounting advisors, and you stay in control of what you submit.

Hoyo is not a certified invoicing system in Mozambique. It will connect to one, read from it, and leave it as the fiscal system of record.

OTA and channel manager functionality runs through Channex. Our certification with Channex is in progress, and no OTA is connected through Hoyo yet. We confirm in writing what your property can use before go-live.

MozPay fees, the available payment methods and how payments settle for your property are confirmed in writing before you take your first payment.
